Once you have accepted an offer the following occurs: -

Contracts are exchanged and the "cooling-off" period begins (if relevant); this is a "conditional" exchange;

Pest and Building Inspections are usually conducted;

The "cooling-off" period ends - the contract becomes "unconditional" - the property is sold;

Settlement occurs.
